Accessibility
We aim for DigiKYC to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we do
- Text and controls meet the WCAG AA contrast ratios in light and dark mode, checked from our colour values.
- Every control works with a keyboard and shows a visible focus ring.
- Buttons and links are at least 44 by 44 pixels on touch screens, and form fields use 16-pixel text so phones do not zoom.
- Forms use visible labels, and error messages are tied to the field they are about.
- Status is always given in words, never by colour alone.
- Pages follow your device’s reduced-motion setting, and new screens follow its light or dark setting.
Known gaps
- Some screens, mainly staff screens and older parts of account opening, have not yet been rebuilt on our current design. They stay in light mode and have not been re-checked against these standards.
- The interface is in English. Our notices are also available in Hindi and Telugu, but the rest of the interface is not yet.
- We have not yet tested every screen with screen readers and in every browser.
