Answers about signing in, checking your sections, documents, e-signing and approval.

Getting started

I have an invitation. How do I set up my account?

Open the email from Sampadha Fin Education with the subject “Open your account with Sampadha Fin Education” and select “Accept invitation & set password”.

A DigiKYC page opens, headed “Welcome to DigiKYC”. Press “Continue”. This extra step stops email security scanners from using up your one-time link.

Then choose a password of at least 8 characters and agree to the Privacy Notice and Terms of Use. From then on you sign in with your email and password, or with a one-time code by email or WhatsApp.

If the link has expired, ask your adviser to send a new one.

How do I get an invitation?

DigiKYC is by invitation only: there is no sign-up form. Your adviser at Sampadha Fin Education starts your account opening and emails you the invitation.

If you were expecting one, check your spam or promotions folder, then ask your adviser to send it again.

How do I sign in?

On the sign-in page, use your email and password. As a client you can also sign in without a password: ask for a one-time code by email, or by WhatsApp to the 10-digit mobile number registered with your adviser.

My one-time code hasn’t arrived

By email: check your spam or promotions folder and use the most recent code. If you have just asked for one, wait a minute before asking again.

By WhatsApp: the code arrives as a WhatsApp message, not an SMS, on the mobile number registered with your adviser. If that number has changed, ask your adviser to update it.

Codes expire; the screen tells you how long yours works, and you can ask for a new one there. You can always sign in with your password instead.

I forgot my password

On the sign-in page, select Forgot password? and enter the email you sign in with. We’ll email you a link to choose a new one.

Your account opening

What will I be asked to check?

Your adviser prepares 8 sections. You check each one and confirm it; nothing is final until you do.

  1. 1. Personal details
  2. 2. Contact details
  3. 3. Banking details
  4. 4. Your investing profile
  5. 5. Communication preferences
  6. 6. Nominees
  7. 7. Tax compliance
  8. 8. Documents

Your investing profile is your risk questionnaire: your adviser fills it in and you approve it. After the sections comes Review & sign.

Something in a section is wrong. What do I do?

Open the section and select “Something’s wrong”. Write a short note for your adviser (up to 500 characters) and send it.

The section then shows “Question sent”. Once your adviser has updated it, it comes back to you to check. If everything is right after all, you can still confirm it.

What does “Please check again” mean?

Your adviser changed a section after you had confirmed it, so your earlier confirmation no longer counts. Open the section, check what changed and confirm it again.

We also email you when this happens.

What do the other labels on a section mean?
Being prepared
Your adviser is still filling it in. Nothing to do yet.
Ready to check
It is ready for you to check and confirm.
Confirmed
You confirmed it, and nothing has changed since.
Question sent
You sent your adviser a note about it. It comes back to you once they have looked at it.
Please check again
Your adviser changed it after you confirmed it. Check it and confirm it again.
Do I have to do everything in one go?

No. A section you confirm stays confirmed, so you can sign out and come back later. It only needs checking again if your adviser changes it.

Documents & privacy

Which documents are needed?
  • PAN card
  • Masked Aadhaar: a copy where only the last 4 digits are visible
  • Cancelled cheque or bank statement, showing the account holder’s name and the IFSC
  • A recent passport-style photograph
  • Your signature on plain white paper
  • An address proof, only if your correspondence address is different from your permanent one

Your adviser adds them to your account, and you can view them in the Documents section before you confirm it.

Why only a masked Aadhaar?

A masked Aadhaar shows only the last 4 digits of the number, and it is the only kind we keep. Please never send us a full Aadhaar number or an unmasked copy.

Our account-opening forms refuse anything that looks like a full Aadhaar number and accept only the last 4 digits.

Why am I asked to approve checks with a WhatsApp code?

Before an identity check (such as PAN verification) sends your details to our verification provider, Finanalyz, you approve that one check with a code we send by WhatsApp to the mobile number on your record. Each approval covers one check.

We never send this code by email. If WhatsApp is not available, the check does not run.

Who can see my details?

In DigiKYC, you and the Sampadha staff who work on account openings. When a staff member opens one of your documents, it is recorded.

The service providers that process data for us are listed in our Privacy Notice. More on how we protect your data.

How long do you keep my records?

While you are a client and for 7 years after your account closes, as SEBI regulations require of investment advisers; then they are deleted. The Privacy Notice sets out the period for each kind of data.

What are my rights over my data?

Under the DPDP Act, 2023 you can see and download the data we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, withdraw a consent, nominate someone to act for you, and raise a grievance. The Privacy Notice explains how to use each right.

E-sign & approval

How do I sign my agreement?

Your adviser sends your Investment Adviser agreement for e-signature. You sign it once, with an Aadhaar OTP, from the link we email you.

What happens after I’ve confirmed everything?

A Sampadha staff member other than the one who set up your account reviews it and approves your account opening. We email you when it is done, and you move to Moneyanam, Sampadha’s advisory app, where you continue after your account opens.

Can I change something after I’ve confirmed it?

Ask your adviser. If they change a section you confirmed, it comes back to you marked “Please check again”.

Troubleshooting

It says there have been too many attempts

After several wrong passwords or codes, sign-in pauses for a while; the message says how long. You can also reset your password.

I’m asked to accept the Privacy Notice and Terms of Use again

When we update them, every client is asked to accept the current version before continuing.

It says no account opening was found

The account you signed in with has no account opening in progress, or it has been closed. Check that you used the email your adviser invited, or contact your adviser.

I see “Something went wrong” with a reference

Try again. If it keeps happening, email us the reference shown on the page (addresses on Contact).
